Update on U.S. Tariffs & Shipping
As of August 29, 2025, the United States has made changes to its import policies that may affect Canadian brands shipping to U.S. customers. Here’s what you need to know:

- The U.S. has ended the de minimis exemption (previously applied to
packages under $800 USD).
- This means that all orders shipped from Canada to the U.S. may now be
subject to import duties or fees, regardless of the order value
✨ What stayed the same?
- Shine By SD Cosmetics products that are USMCA-compliant remain
eligible for preferential treatment under the Canada-U.S. trade agreement.
✨ What does this mean for you?
- If you’re in the U.S., your package may include a duty or import fee
charged by U.S. customs. - These fees are set by the U.S. government—not by Shine By SD
Cosmetics. - To help offset these changes, we will continue to offer FREE shipping on
all U.S. orders over $100 CAD. This way, you save on shipping while enjoying your
favorite products.
